Hi, I'm Jon. Glad you're here.

I've been in the mortgage business for over 20 years, and one thing I've learned is that buying a home is about a lot more than just getting a mortgage. It's about family, building memories, and finding a place to call home. I genuinely enjoy what I do, and I take a lot of pride in helping people make smart financial decisions along the way.

I've been fortunate to receive numerous industry awards, but what means the most to me is the relationships I've built. Many of my clients have become friends, and there's nothing better than having someone I've worked with refer their family or friends to me.

As the leader of The Wald Mortgage Team at Main Street Home Loans, my philosophy is pretty simple: be honest, communicate clearly, be available, and always look out for the client's best interests. Whether you're buying your first home, moving up, refinancing, or navigating a more complicated financial situation, my team and I are here to help make the process as smooth as possible.

I'm also passionate about helping real estate professionals grow their businesses. I teach state-accredited continuing education classes for Realtors and appraisers throughout Maryland and enjoy sharing ideas, strategies, and tools that help my referral partners succeed.

A little about me outside of mortgages

I'm originally from Brooklyn, New York, but Maryland has been home for more than 20 years. I moved here to attend Towson University, where I earned my degree in Business Management. After spending several years living in Federal Hill and Canton, my wife and I settled in Lutherville, where we're raising our three kids along with our two dogs, Tito and Jetty.

Family is a huge part of my life. When I'm not working, there's a good chance you'll find me spending time with my wife and kids, involved in their activities, or out enjoying everything Maryland has to offer. I'm also very involved in our local community and believe strongly in giving back to the place we've chosen to raise our family.

I love being on the water, whether that's boating, crabbing, or just enjoying a beautiful day. In the winter, I enjoy skiing.
